Army awards Palantir $48M enterprise ammunition system

The U.S. Army announced on September 17 that it awarded Palantir USG Inc. a $48,094,071 firm-fixed-price delivery order for a software system to track and manage ammunition at the enterprise level, replacing nine separate legacy Army ammunition platforms. The order was awarded competitively through a call for solutions under the Army Open Solicitation and sets a 12-month base period to develop, configure and field the core capabilities, with up to five optional years for continued optimization and scaling. The Army said the commercial low-code platform will give it a single authoritative view of munitions from planning, production and procurement through storage, surveillance, distribution, expenditure and final disposition, and will improve audit readiness.
