CATL restarts Jianxiawo lithium mine environmental review

Mysteel reported on September 20 that CATL's Jianxiawo lithium-mica mine in Yichun, Jiangxi, has restarted its environmental impact assessment after an earlier proposed-acceptance notice was revoked over questions about the construction unit's public-disclosure website. Yichun Times New Energy Mining posted a September 18 pre-approval disclosure of the Environmental Impact Report and public-participation statement for the Zhenkouli-Jianxiawo lithium mine on the Fengxin County Ecological Environment Bureau site. The mine is one of the world's largest single lithium-mica sites by scale, and its restart remains a key variable for lithium-carbonate supply after regulators halted operations in August.
