Amazon Leo names UZ-SAT as Uzbekistan distributor

Amazon Leo said UZ-SAT, a subsidiary of Uzbekistan's state telecom Uztelecom, will be an authorized distributor, bringing Leo satellite internet to remote mountain and desert communities that fiber cannot reach economically. The companies announced the deal at the Tashkent International Investment Forum during ICT Week 2026. Amazon said it has launched nearly 400 satellites, is running a private preview with employees and select enterprise customers, and still expects initial service in some locations later this year.
