Tesla builds first Cybercab with in-house cathode

Tesla's Robotaxi account said on September 23 that the company built its first Cybercab using cathode material from what it called the first cathode plant in the Americas, at Giga Texas. Tesla North America said in August that the large-scale cathode line was already operating as part of 4680 cell production. Tesla did not publish a production rate or say how many Cybercabs will use in-house cathode; the first-vehicle claim is company-only.
