Tesla opens Nevada Semi factory and starts volume deliveries

Tesla opened its dedicated Semi factory next to Gigafactory Nevada in Sparks on September 24, 2026 and said first deliveries from the volume line started that week. Executives reiterated a 50,000-truck-a-year nameplate, about 1,000 a week, and more than 3,000 jobs during the ramp, without disclosing price or 2026 output. Customers including PepsiCo, DHL and US Foods appeared at the event. Separately, the ZET SCALE shipper alliance named Tesla the primary OEM for an initial 2,500 battery-electric Class 8 order, with Kenworth, Volvo and RIDE as secondary options.
