Apple will tighten macOS Full Disk Access for AI agents
On Oct. 2, 2026 Apple said it will add controls so macOS Full Disk Access can be granted only after very explicit user action. The developer note said some apps use that permission to expose files, mail, messages and browsing history without users fully understanding the risk, and that AI agents make the risk grow.
