Amazon Leo builds its 1,000th satellite at Kirkland
Amazon executives told Ars Technica the Kirkland factory has manufactured its 1,000th Leo satellite and can now build 27 a week, up from 27 in the first six months. VP Chris Weber said 396 satellites are in orbit and still raising, with initial commercial service still planned in 2026. Rajeev Badyal said Amazon is weeks away from a Vulcan launch, then Arianespace and at least one more Vulcan this year.
