NIO reaches 500 Guangdong battery-swap stations

NIO said six fifth-generation swap stations opened on Oct. 11, 2026 in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Dongguan, Foshan and Zhuhai, taking Guangdong past 500 swap stations. The company counted more than 17 million Guangdong swaps, about 13% of its national total, and said China had 9,584 charging and swap sites including 4,176 swap stations and 1,073 highway swap stations as of that date. NIO English IR has not restated the provincial milestone; Geely 30% NIO Power stake remains signed, not closed.
