Nvidia pledges $250 million in UK safety compute

Nvidia said on Oct. 14 it will provide $250 million of compute over five years, about $50 million a year, for UK research on agentic AI safety and security. Most of the commitment is for the wider UK research community, with a portion for Oxford's BOLD lab, UCL's SOFAIR lab and Imperial College London, delivered through UK-based Nvidia cloud partners. The company did not name the AI Security Institute, and it said the provider, architecture and commercial terms are still to be agreed.
