Westinghouse and Amentum sign AP1000 and AP300 agreements
Westinghouse and Amentum entered a series of agreements on August 4, 2026 supporting Westinghouse's APX technology platform, expanding delivery capacity for fleet-scale AP1000 reactor deployment and advancing development of the AP300 small modular reactor. Amentum will support the engineering work needed for AP300 to obtain US Nuclear Regulatory Commission design certification, while the companies also work to strengthen AP1000 engineering and execution capacity for building 1-gigawatt reactors at scale.
