Pony.ai, Uber expand deal to 2,000+ robotaxis in Europe

Pony.ai and Uber announced on August 14 an expanded partnership to deploy more than 2,000 Pony.ai robotaxis across Europe, growing from their existing Zagreb, Croatia commercial service to four additional European cities. The companies said the expansion also includes plans for the Middle East, with a phased rollout and city-by-city details to follow; Pony.ai supplies Level 4 autonomous driving technology and fleet operations while Uber provides the ride-hailing platform.
