Nvidia discloses $21 billion SpaceX stake in SEC filing
Nvidia's quarterly 13F filing, released August 14, revealed the company held 122.8 million Class A shares of SpaceX worth about $21 billion as of the June 30 quarter-end, its second-largest disclosed equity position after a roughly $30 billion Intel stake. The shares originated from Nvidia's $10 billion investment in xAI's January 2026 funding round, which converted into SpaceX equity after Elon Musk folded xAI into SpaceX in an all-stock deal; SpaceX shares have since fallen from $170.86 to about $140, which would put the stake's value closer to $17 billion by the filing's disclosure date.
