Saronic tops out $300 million Louisiana shipyard expansion
Saronic Technologies and builders JE Dunn Construction and Alberici Constructors placed the final structural beam on August 25 in a topping-out ceremony for the $300 million expansion of Saronic's Franklin, Louisiana shipyard. The expansion adds more than 300,000 square feet, including three new slips, added warehouse capacity and a dedicated production line for Saronic's 180-foot Marauder autonomous vessels, and is scheduled for completion in early 2027 after reaching a peak workforce of about 200 construction workers.
