Navy moves Saronic's Marauder into MUSV production

On September 29, 2026 Saronic said it won a firm-fixed-price Navy production Other Transaction for its 180-foot Marauder autonomous surface vessel after an at-sea evaluation covering more than 140 scenarios over eight days. Trade reporting that quoted Navy officials said Saronic, Huntington Ingalls Industries and Galliano Marine Services each received agreements for 10 Medium Unmanned Surface Vessels at an average cost of about $40 million, with first deliveries targeted before the end of fiscal 2027. Saronic itself did not disclose award value or hull count to gCaptain, and a navy.mil production press release was not retrieved.
