Saronic lays keel for production 150-foot Marauder hull

Saronic held a keel-laying ceremony on August 22 for a 150-foot Marauder autonomous surface vessel at its Franklin, Louisiana shipyard, which trade outlets described as the start of series production for the class. The uncrewed vessel carries a 40-metric-ton payload and can travel up to 3,500 nautical miles or loiter for more than 30 days, and will be built alongside Saronic's larger 180-foot Marauder variant at the same shipyard, where the company is completing a $300 million, 3,200-job expansion.
