Google's new cyber AI and Fairwind Program rattle Palantir

Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash on September 2, 2026 alongside a specialized Gemini 3.8 Flash Cyber variant for autonomous vulnerability discovery and automated patching, gating cyber access through a new Fairwind Program that gives vetted governments, healthcare providers, telecoms and critical-infrastructure operators early access paired with Google's CodeMender patching harness. Google's Chrome Security team measured 2.6x more correct patches than larger commercial models, and its Cloud Vulnerability Research team used the model to find a critical vulnerability in under two hours.
