NIO keeps Europe, targets Onvo debut in 2028-2029

NIO founder William Li visited Europe this week and said operational changes there are not an exit: the company will keep running directly in selected markets while leaning more on local distributors. NIO confirmed that its family EV brand Onvo will enter international markets, with a European debut now expected in 2028-2029, later than the 2027 window it had been evaluating in May. Distributor partnerships have already opened markets such as Greece, where NIO's first Athens Nio House opened in June with Motodynamics.
