Airbus delivers first jet from second Tianjin line

Airbus delivered the first A320neo assembled at its second A320 Family final assembly line in Tianjin to China Eastern Airlines on September 16, about 11 months after the line was inaugurated. Programmes and services executive vice president Philippe Mhun called the second Chinese line a critical facilitator of the global ramp toward 75 A320 Family aircraft a month and said it adds flexibility to meet demand. Tianjin now holds two of the ten Airbus final assembly lines worldwide and has built and delivered more than 800 A320 Family jets since the first line opened in 2008.
