Lucid and Bolt plan 25,000 robotaxis in Europe

Lucid Group and Bolt said on September 17 they will co-develop an SAE Level 4 autonomous platform based on Lucid's upcoming Midsize vehicle and deploy at least 25,000 fully autonomous Lucid cars across major European cities. Bolt intends to own and operate the fleet as part of a plan to grow to 100,000 autonomous vehicles by 2035, and the cars are expected to use Nvidia's Hyperion architecture. The deal sets no order volume, investment or start date, and sits alongside Lucid's separate US robotaxi pact with Uber and Nuro for at least 35,000 vehicles.
