NIO third-gen ES8 hits 150,000 deliveries in one year

NIO said on September 20 that president Qin Lihong handed the 150,000th third-generation ES8 to owner Tang Limei at the company's Beijing Future Science City Experience Center, on the first anniversary of the large electric SUV's China launch. The 140,000th unit was delivered on August 21 at the Chengdu Auto Show, so the latest 10,000 units took 30 days, matching the prior 10,000. NIO said the model ranks first in China's large-SUV and 400,000-yuan segments across all powertrains; CnEVPost's compilation of China Passenger Car Association figures put January-August ES8 deliveries at 99,948, about 62% of NIO-brand volume.
