Airbus converts Broughton A380 shop to A321 wings
Airbus said September 21 it is investing 150 million pounds to convert the former A380 wing plant at Broughton, Wales into an A321 wing line with six jigs, an equipping line and a paint shop, feeding a backlog of around 7,500 A320 Family aircraft. The first wing is already in work, all jigs are due to be operational by year-end, and Airbus said the project supports the ramp toward rate 75.
