Aurora targets 30,000 driverless trucks by 2030

At its September 23, 2026 Analyst and Investor Day, Aurora said it is fully allocated to finish 2026 with 200 driverless trucks on Transport-as-a-Service contracts and set a 2030 vision of more than 30,000 driverless trucks. The company said the Aurora Driver has logged over 500,000 driverless miles since commercial launch and that Roush is targeting a 20-truck-per-week upfit rate in October. Hirschbach still intends to own and operate 500 trucks under a Driver-as-a-Service plan with deliveries beginning in 2027; that intention is not a signed definitive order.
