Rivian recalls 14 R2s over high-voltage battery fasteners
Rivian listed NHTSA recall 26V-625, issued Sept. 29, 2026, covering 14 model-year 2027 R2 vehicles that may have an improperly torqued high-voltage battery fastener that can cause loss of motive power. NHTSA's vehicle-recall API reports the same campaign (FSAM-1888) and says owner letters are expected Nov. 28, 2026. Rivian said all affected vehicles are already at service centers and it is not aware of related customer reports, accidents, injuries or fatalities.
