Overview

An investigational mRNA cancer-prevention vaccine, developed with the University of Oxford, designed to generate immune responses against early cancer-development targets in people with Lynch syndrome - Moderna's first program aimed at preventing cancer before it develops rather than treating existing disease.

Phase 1/2 (INTERCEPT-Lynch), UK MHRA-authorized June 8, 2026; dosing began in the roughly 110-patient study, confirmed in Moderna's Q2 2026 earnings update. A larger Phase 2 expansion across multiple UK centers is expected to begin in 2027.
