TSMC to raise chipmaking prices up to 10% in 2027, Nikkei reports
TSMC plans to raise prices for both advanced and mature-node chipmaking by up to 10% starting in 2027 to offset rising costs for materials, equipment and overseas plant construction, Nikkei Asia reported July 21, citing multiple sources. Base increases run 5–10% depending on the customer and product, with mature nodes (12/16/28nm) facing hikes of up to 10% and customers placing extra high-performance-computing orders beyond forecast facing a further premium. Negotiations ran from June into July, with the new pricing set to take effect at the start of 2027.
