Musk says Tesla and SpaceX will run Terafab, not TSMC
Elon Musk said on Oct. 7 that Tesla and SpaceX will build and run the planned Terafab AI chip complex in Texas, writing that TSMC might sublease part of the site but nothing more than that. Reuters reported the posts after Musk called weekend TSMC talks just discussions. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan told Bloomberg the same day that Intel remains involved as a partner on the project, which is planned around Intel's 14A process. TSMC and Intel did not immediately comment to Reuters. A TSMC sublease is not a signed agreement.
