Eutelsat to receive $504M in FCC C-band transition payments

Eutelsat said on July 27 it will receive $504 million (443 million euros) pre-tax in FCC incentive payments after the commission's order established the framework for transitioning Upper C-band spectrum in the United States, plus full reimbursement of transition costs. The payments are conditional on completing the spectrum clearing within two set deadlines, expected during 2031, and CEO Jean-Francois Fallacher said Eutelsat is committed to working with the FCC to make the transition seamless for customers.
