Eutelsat orders 229 more OneWeb satellites from Airbus
Eutelsat said September 10, 2026 it signed an authorization to proceed with Airbus Defence and Space for 229 additional OneWeb LEO satellites, about 1 billion euros, on top of 440 already procured for a 669-satellite Airbus refresh. The order does not change Eutelsat's capex plan through fiscal 2029 and is meant to replenish the constellation through 2034 while supporting IRIS2 continuity. Manufacturing is planned in Toulouse.
