Archer unveils Zee, an aviation-specific AI foundation model
Archer Aviation announced Zee on July 15, an aviation-specific AI foundation model trained on real-world operational data including ADS-B feeds from over 6,000 receivers, air-traffic-control communications, maps, aircraft state, terrain and weather. Built by an approximately 100-person AI team led by Mario Srouji and designed to run offline/on-device as well as server-hosted, Zee targets airline operations, airspace management and pilot copilot-assistance, extending Archer's ambitions beyond air-taxi manufacturing into aviation software as a pillar of its 'Physical AI' strategy.
