Wisk and NASA validate 1-supervisor, 3-aircraft oversight
Boeing-owned Wisk Aero and NASA reported on July 15 that a joint simulation validated a single ground-based supervisor using Wisk's Multi-Vehicle Supervisor tool to safely oversee three autonomous Generation 6 aircraft simultaneously while normal air traffic control used existing tools and procedures. The test, run under the companies' five-year Space Act Agreement, targets the one-to-many supervision ratio Wisk considers the key unlock for scaling pilotless air-taxi operations beyond one aircraft per operator.
