Archer to acquire Boeing's Wisk Aero, Insitu and SkyGrid

Archer Aviation signed a definitive agreement on August 10 to acquire three Boeing subsidiaries, autonomous eVTOL developer Wisk Aero, defense drone maker Insitu, and airspace-management software firm SkyGrid, in a deal expected to close by year-end pending antitrust review. Boeing will receive Archer Class A shares and warrants giving it a stake of nearly 20% in Archer, plus the right to invest up to $55 million in an upcoming Archer funding round, while retaining cross-licensing rights to Wisk's autonomous flight systems for its own commercial and defense platforms.
