BYD plans solid-state battery vehicle demonstration in 2027

BYD executive vice president Stella Li told Carwow.es in Valencia that next year BYD will have one model using solid-state battery technology, framed as a demonstration rather than a named retail launch. FinDreams is pursuing a sulfide (LPSC) route. FinDreams CTO Sun Huajun has previously outlined a roughly 1,000-vehicle small batch around 2027 and large-scale production around 2030, with early use expected on Yangwang and flagship Denza vehicles.
