Overview

Aurora's proprietary long-range lidar stack for highway autonomy. Aurora Driver 2, now in commercial driverless freight, uses FirstLight lidar that Aurora's website states can see 1,000 meters ahead, more than 34 seconds of planning horizon at highway speed. Earlier FirstLight generations were disclosed at 450+ meters; the 1,000-meter figure is the Driver 2 production stack.
