Low Earth orbit broadband constellation providing global coverage through a Gen 1 fleet of 654 satellites at roughly 1,200 km altitude. The network delivers 1.1 Tbps of sellable capacity, sub-70 ms latency, and 99%+ availability, and is integrated with Eutelsat's GEO assets for multi-orbit services across government, mobility, enterprise, and telecom markets. The follow-on satellite program now covers 669 Airbus-built spacecraft (440 already procured plus a September 10, 2026 ATP for 229 more), adding digital channelizers, hosted-payload options, and service continuity through 2034.

Current status
Gen 1 is fully deployed and commercially operational. FY2025-26 LEO revenue grew 69.5% YoY to EUR 297M, now 25% of group revenue; backlog is EUR 3.4B as of June 30, 2026. Airbus OneWeb refresh orders now total 669: the first satellites from the existing 440-unit order are due in Q4 2026, with launches from 2027 (including two dedicated Ariane 64 missions in 2027 and 2028), and the additional 229 ATP satellites extend replenishment through 2034. On September 9, 2026 OroraTech reserved 48 thermal-infrared hosted payloads (option for 48 more) on future OneWeb satellites, turning the refresh fleet into a dual connectivity-and-sensing platform.
