Overview

Midsize SUV on Rivian's new platform, positioned below the R1 line and designed to drive much higher unit volumes. Rivian has now published staged trims rather than a single placeholder launch price, with higher-end versions coming first and lower-cost variants following in 2027.

Rivian has set June 9, 2026 as the official R2 launch day for first customer deliveries, order invitations, and demo drives, starting with R2 Performance from just under $60,000. R2 Premium is slated for late 2026 and R2 Standard ($48,490) for 2027, with an additional roughly $45,000 variant planned for late 2027.
