Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy

Qualcomm Technologies introduced this platform on February 25, 2026 and called it the most advanced Snapdragon mobile platform to date. It was set to power the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra globally and the Galaxy S26+ and S26 in select regions. The release names a 3rd Gen Qualcomm Oryon CPU, an Adreno GPU, and a Hexagon NPU, and calls the platform the world's fastest mobile system-on-a-chip.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6

Qualcomm Technologies unveiled this platform on Sept. 22, 2026 alongside Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The release says it is built on the same advanced 2nm process, with a custom Oryon CPU, a re-architected Adreno GPU, and a Hexagon NPU, and that it brings many of the same AI, gaming, imaging, and connectivity features to a broader set of top-tier phones. No ship date is given.

Qualcomm Dragonfly C1000

On June 24, 2026 Qualcomm Technologies and Meta announced a multi-generation agreement for Qualcomm to supply data-center CPUs. The first-generation Dragonfly C1000 is planned to power Meta's next-generation server fleet. Production is scheduled to start in the second half of 2028. The release does not state a price or unit volume.
