6th-Gen Waymo Driver (Ojai / Hyundai IONIQ 5)

Overview

Waymo's next-generation autonomous stack is designed for lower cost, broader weather coverage, and deployment across multiple vehicle platforms. It is rolling out first on the Ojai robotaxi and will also be integrated into the Hyundai IONIQ 5.

Public Ojai rides launched in late May 2026 across San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix with about 100 vehicles, joining a ~4,000-car commercial fleet; expansion to Denver, Las Vegas, and San Diego is queued.
