Continue the rapid Claude release cadence, having followed Fable 5, Opus 5 and Sonnet 5 with Claude Fable 5.1 and the invitation-only Claude Mythos 5.1 on September 1, 2026, still the latest public models as of September 19, 2026, and deepen enterprise-grade agentic products - including Claude Code (auto mode now default from August 14, 2026), the Claude Cowork 'AI coworker,' the new Claude for Government FedRAMP High beta, and the newly launched Claude Science research workbench and Claude for Financial Services Excel plugin - with stronger admin, analytics and spend controls, plus broader reach through the Claude Partner Network. Reuters reported September 18 that Anthropic is considering a new model to counter OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra, which Ramp put at about 13 percent of tracked enterprise AI spending versus about 8 percent for Claude Fable; Anthropic declined to comment and no name, date or model card has been announced.

Second model in the Claude 5.5 family, launched September 28, 2026 as a faster, lower-cost complement to Opus 5.5 for well-scoped coding, documents, slides and spreadsheets. Official pricing is $2 per million input tokens, $10 per million output tokens and $0.20 per million cache-read tokens, the same as Sonnet 5; Anthropic says it runs 30%+ faster and costs up to 30% less per task because it uses fewer tokens. Available as claude-sonnet-5-5 on the Claude API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure. Haiku 5.5 remains unshipped.
Anthropic's small Claude model released Oct. 7, 2026. The company called it its cheapest, fastest, and most capable small model. Priced at $0.10 input and $0.50 output per million tokens for prompts up to 100,000 tokens, and $0.50 / $2.50 above that. Available on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and the Claude Platform as claude-haiku-5-5.
Opt-in free service that periodically scans enrolled open-source projects with Anthropic's strongest models, including Claude Mythos, and sends model-generated vulnerability reports with a proof of concept, explanation, and suggested fix where available. Reports go out without human review. Anthropic said expert testers cleared 85 of 97 early high or critical findings for disclosure (88%), with one invalid among the rest.
Automated GitHub pull-request review for Claude Code. Team and Enterprise organizations can set Quick, Standard or Deep review per repository. Eligible Enterprise customers can claim at least $10,000 in credits through Jan. 15, 2027.
