Anthropic said on September 16 that it is folding Claude Chat, the agentic Claude Cowork product, Artifacts and Claude Design into a single interface it calls one Claude, so the assistant routes a request to the right capability instead of making users pick a tab first. It also launched Claude Docs and Claude Slides in beta, letting users generate, edit, present and share documents and decks from any conversation, with exports to Google Docs, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and PDF and real-time collaboration and comments on shared documents. The rollout starts with Pro and Max subscribers on web, desktop and mobile over the coming weeks, with Team and Free plans to follow, and comes after OpenAI's July launch of ChatGPT Work as both IPO-bound labs chase enterprise customers.

OpenAI detected issues across ChatGPT and Codex at about 10:58 UTC affecting 15 and 4 components respectively, with mitigations applied within about 24 minutes, while Anthropic reported elevated errors on Claude Mythos 5.1, Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Opus 5 across Claude AI, the API, Claude Code and Claude Cowork, with impact ending by 16:16 UTC. Users also reported errors and failed generations on Google's Gemini during the same window.
Anthropic's status page reported an issue preventing some users from authenticating across claude.ai, the Claude API, Claude Code, Claude Cowork and platform.claude.com starting at 21:58 UTC on August 16, widening minutes later to include degraded performance on the web products. The company said it had deployed a fix by 22:22 UTC, restoring the affected services after about 36 minutes, though it has not published a root-cause explanation.
Anthropic said on August 11 it will add an imperceptible, machine-readable watermark to text generated by new Claude models starting August 2, responding to transparency requirements under Article 50 of the EU AI Act.
