Overview
K2's production satellite bus and the whole thesis in one product: 3,000 kg of payload mass on a 3 by 2.7 metre deck, up to 30 kW of peak payload power, and 20 kW Hall-effect propulsion capable of an orbit raise from LEO to MEO in under three months. It is roughly ten times the power of a typical constellation-class satellite, and K2 says ten of them stack into a single launch vehicle for 200 kW delivered per launch. It flies to LEO, MEO, and GEO, and lists around $15 million.
First unit, Gravitas, launched March 30, 2026 and is operating in orbit. Production scaling toward up to 100 satellites a year at Torrance, with 28 ordered by SES for meoSphere and further units committed to Golden Dome and PTS-G.
