Stand up commercial service on the Hainan-Guangdong cross-sea corridor with CSCEC
Ground has already been broken on the first CSCEC Sixth Engineering Bureau project, a cross-sea eVTOL corridor linking Lingao in Hainan with Xuwen in Guangdong across the Qiongzhou Strait. EHang is supplying aircraft, operations, and technical support, building on the EH216-S's December 2025 22 km / 18-minute demonstration of the same route. No completion date or commercial-service date has been disclosed. The next milestone is standing the corridor up for operations rather than breaking ground.

EHang adds Vietnam Fast Track sandbox in Hanoi
On September 29, 2026 EHang said Vietnam became the second Global Fast Track country after Sri Lanka after HungViet signed an MoU with the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology for EH216-S sandbox testing at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. HungViet is to commit resources from October 2026 and fly controlled tests only after an authorization decision; EHang will supply the aircraft and systems. Tuoi Tre News said the local agreement is a proposal step, not a commercial air-taxi licence.
EHang flies EH216-S over Madrid's Jarama circuit
EHang said on September 11, 2026 that its EH216-S pilotless passenger eVTOL flew over Circuito de Madrid Jarama-RACE on September 9 during the FIA Sustainable Innovation Series in Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix week. The welcome event also staged a 3,000-drone GD4.0 light show that RACE called unprecedented in Europe, and EHang's Europe president Victoria Xiang joined a September 10 urban-air-mobility panel in Madrid. The company called Spain its European base and an implementation step of its 2026 partnership with RACE.
US Senator Daines visits EHang, flies on EH216-S in China
EHang said on August 31, 2026 that US Senator Steve Daines and a delegation including Geng Shuang of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs and US Consul General Pauline Kao visited its Guangzhou headquarters on August 29 and took a flight aboard its EH216-S autonomous aerial vehicle. The visit, which also included Guangdong and Guangzhou foreign-affairs officials, comes as EHang works to expand its low-altitude and air-mobility footprint both domestically and internationally.
EHang flies EH216-S publicly at Hong Kong Cyberport
EHang's EH216-S pilotless eVTOL completed its first public flight at Hong Kong Cyberport on August 28, the first public demonstration since validation flights began in mid-August under the HKSAR Government's Low-Altitude Economy 'Regulatory Sandbox X' trial project that selected EHang in June. The aircraft is running multiple public flight sessions at Cyberport through August 30 to validate system reliability and safety under regular, high-frequency operations, a step toward routine service across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

EHang flies first pilotless passenger eVTOL in Central Asia
EHang's EH216-S completed Central Asia's first pilotless, human-carrying eVTOL flight on August 10 in Astana, Kazakhstan, carrying Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev and other officials during the Games of the Future 2026 event. The flights operated under a national eVTOL regulatory framework Kazakhstan established in June 2026, extending EHang's commercial footprint to 23 countries.
