A320neo Family

Overview
The A320neo (new engine option) family is Airbus's best-selling narrow-body airliner family, featuring new-generation engines and Sharklet wingtip devices for 15-20% fuel savings. Includes the A319neo, A320neo, and A321neo variants.
In active production and high demand. In May 2026 the wider A320 family surpassed 20,000 lifetime orders (20,169), and the A321neo is the single most-ordered variant (7,739 orders). Airbus is ramping A320 Family output toward 70-75 aircraft per month by the end of 2027, with full rate-75 stabilization now pushed to shortly after the start of 2028 - a timeline still constrained by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM engine shortages, which CEO Guillaume Faury said should reach a 'much more normalized' state by 2028. Airbus's dispute with Pratt & Whitney has since escalated into a formal damages claim that Reuters reports could go to arbitration.
