Overview

Reusable medium-lift launch vehicle co-developed with Northrop Grumman for commercial, civil, and national-security missions, launching from Virginia's Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport.

All major flight articles - including Miranda engines, LOX transfer line, pressure vessels, and interstage - are in build and test. As of August 2026, Firefly has completed burst-pressure qualification of the first-stage composite overwrapped pressure vessels, put the 95-ft first-stage tanks on the test stand for structural risk-reduction testing (pushing them beyond flight limits to verify margins), and moved the engine base structure that will mount the seven Miranda first-stage engines into assembly and bonding ahead of integration. First launch from Wallops is still targeted no earlier than 2027.
