Unitree opened commercial humanoid sales in Europe on July 22, 2026, becoming the first Chinese humanoid maker to sell commercially in Western markets, then extended commercial deployment into Asian logistics and manufacturing sites on August 5, 2026 as planned. The North American leg remains blocked: the FCC's July 28, 2026 addition of foreign advanced robotic devices to its Covered List requires a Department of War Conditional Approval before any new-model equipment authorization can be granted, and as of September 20, 2026 no Conditional Approval for a new Unitree model had been reported, so the originally planned August 12 North American launch remains delayed with no revised date announced. Previously authorized Unitree models and existing US inventory remain legal to sell. On July 31, 2026, board secretary Fu Fenghua clarified in an online investor session tied to the Shanghai listing that Unitree's current lineup - the G1, H2, and R1 humanoids and the Go2, B2, and A2 quadrupeds - all secured FCC equipment authorization before the Covered List policy took effect and so remain legally sellable in the US from existing inventory; the gating effect falls only on new, not-yet-authorized models. The European leg advanced at IFA Berlin (September 4-8, 2026), where Unitree headlined a 'Robots on the Runway' demo; Europe still has no equivalent of either the Pentagon or FCC restriction.
