Thunder

Overview

Autonomous, series hybrid-electric tilt-rotor Group 5 attack aircraft co-developed with Archer Aviation and unveiled at the Farnborough International Airshow on July 20, 2026. Designed as a pilotless 'loyal wingman' to fly in formation with crewed helicopters such as the AH-64 Apache and MV-75, cruising above 200 knots with a range of thousands of nautical miles. Archer's commercial variant of the same airframe is called 'Halo.'

Multiple test flights completed with full-scale surrogate aircraft; first flight of the production Thunder planned for 2027
