Following Xiao Di's early-August 2026 public debut at the Di Space center in Zhengzhou, BYD plans to roll the robot out to showrooms initially in Shenzhen and Shanghai, expanding to about 50 locations. EVP Stella Li said she hopes every BYD store eventually hosts two to three robots to greet customers and demo vehicles, with real-world robot sales advisors realistic within one to two years. Re-verified September 5, 2026: BYD has not yet disclosed how many showrooms are actually running Xiao Di beyond the initial Zhengzhou/Shenzhen/Shanghai deployments, nor a firm date for the ~50-location target - still an open rollout with no updated figures published.

BYD unveils Xiao Di, its first humanoid robot
BYD publicly unveiled its first humanoid robot, named Xiao Di, at the Di Space brand-experience center in Zhengzhou in early August 2026, joining Tesla, Unitree, XPeng and Chery in the humanoid-robot race. The 1.61-meter, 58.5 kg robot has 31 degrees of freedom, translates between 6 Chinese dialects and 6 foreign languages in real time, and will begin greeting customers and demoing vehicles in Shenzhen and Shanghai showrooms before expanding to about 50 locations.

The Flash Charge Premium and Flagship are rear-drive 370 kW cars with CLTC ranges of 920 km and 1,100 km; the e3 Flash Charge Performance uses an 890 kW tri-motor setup, 780 km CLTC, and a claimed 2.68-second 0-100 km/h time. Denza said the Flagship's 1,100 km CLTC figure is a record among mass-produced battery-electric cars. CarNewsChina lists 102.326 kWh packs on the Premium and Performance and 122.496 kWh on the Flagship, with Denza claiming 10% to 70% flash charging in five minutes.

Rear-drive models are rated 1,008 km CLTC and the all-wheel-drive flagship 880 km. MIIT filings list 4,205 x 1,810 x 1,570 mm, a 2,650 mm wheelbase, a 95 kW rear permanent-magnet motor and FinDreams LFP packs. Zhang said in August it would launch in 2026.
